Saturday Aug 7th - Open Water Swim Races (200, 500, 1 & 2 Mile) Saturday Aug 14th - Beware of Barracuda Youth Triathlon Sunday Aug 15th - Beware of Barracuda Sprint Triahlon Hello Triathletes! I hope this email finds you all healthy, happy and full of excitement for the 2010 racing season. Stumped about what to get your favorite athlete for the holidays? Consider a gift certificate to one of our races! The Multi sport gift certificates are available in any amount between $25 and $150 and can be used towards entry in any of the following races: (Anthracite Triathlon, Beware of Barracuda Open Water Swim, or Beware of Barracuda Adult triathlon). To purchase a gift certificate simply stop by the Y or call the front desk at (570) 455-2046. Don’t forget your own races for 2010! Don’t forget to check out the information about the (family awards)! Registration is now open at (active.com) for all races. If you’re looking for one last challenge in 2009, check out our (12,000 yards of Christmas T-30 postal). Lastly, I want to thank all of you for your support of the Hazleton YMCA competitive swimming program. All of the proceeds from our races benefit this program where we build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

2009 Race Wrap-up: Congratulations to all the athletes that competed in this year's Open Water Swim races, adult triathlon, and our youth triathlon! We enjoyed great weather, great sportsmanship, and great competition! Results have been posted, and our photo pages have been updated. Click on the button to the left of your screen. I am also so very thankful to all of our fantastic volunteers that helped through out the summer at our Y's 5 out door races. We were helped by Y Teen Leaders, Y staff, eagle rock residence, professional services from Sugarloaf, Nuremberg, Black Creek, Ryan Township Rescue Divers, Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Co., and the Nuremberg Community Ambulance Co. Our Swim Team parents and swimmers also play a huge role in producing these races. Watching 8 & unders stuff race packets is a sight to see! I am grateful for everyone's help and support this Season! I hope you enjoyed our races as much as I enjoyed organizing them!
